Fan Racer : Ratatarse Edition

Yamato created surprise in early 2009 in the Macross world ...

The toy manufacturer decided to produce a 1000-model model of Rick's Fan Racer, which is seen at the very beginning of Macross.

Since the second edition (but in metal gray and a priori with a Hikaru resin figure this time), the Fan Racer could not leave me insensitive ...

Not loving the VF-1A "Angel Bird", but having an idea about the possibilities of integration of this model, I could NOT leave a mock-up like this one to the raw level of assembly ... especially that " It is very empty when leaving the box ...

So I decided to redetail a little ...
- Digging the train wells
- Making the landing gear
- Making the train hatches
- Redevelop the cockpit
- Make flaps and drift swivel
- Making the cones of the removable rear boosters

And all this, on a model of 12cm long ...
As it was my big debut in detailing, everything was new to me.
